Chapel Time

Each week on Wednesday and Thursday, the children have the wonderful opportunity of gathering with Pastor Steve Henderson and Associate Pastor Brian Frack. Accompanying them from time to time are Pastor's Steve's wife, Cindy, our good friend Denise Harkin and an array of special story-telling and muscial guests that bring joy and delight to all.

This is a simple and meaningful time that enhances the Bible-Circle Time that the children are currently experiencing in their classrooms. We meet right before the end of the program morning session from 11:25 to 11:45. Families are also welcome to join us.

"For Where two or three come together in my name,
there am I with them."
Matthew 18:20

Values and Fruit of the Spirit

the Spirit

October Respect Kindness
November Thankfulness Joy
December Sharing Peace
January Helpfulness Patience
February Cooperation Goodness
March Honesty Faithfulness
April Compassion Gentleness
May Responsibility Self-Control
June Commitment *Believe*

Along with our monthly themes we will be teaching, modeling and practicing basic traditional values. Sometimes in today’s hurry-up world, we rush through the most important fundamental principles that build character and integrity. Naturally, we all want what is best for children and our intentions are heartfelt and true, however, how conscious are our efforts? Are we investing the necessary time in guiding our future generation? When asked what families wish for their children to learn, having good values and being good people are consistently at the top of every parent’s list. And as early childhood educators we recognize the significance and believe that it is our responsibility to support this desire.

As we begin to emphasize good values with children, we will also reveal the fruit of the Spirit which God says brings us closer to Him. The fruit of the Spirit are the qualities of character God grows inside of you. It's God at work within us.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
Galatians 5:22-23

We believe that together we can teach our children traditional values while revealing God’s purpose for us by embracing the fruit of the Spirit in a manner which will build character and grace.
